As the night enters a slumber…

I sit on my laptop waiting for Michael to give into sleep. I know he is, he has been yawning for about 30 minutes now!
So odd, too, considering he took like a three hour nap today. He is laying on the couch right now watching Thundar the Barbarian.
Today, the most I have accomplished was getting a few things straightened out about online dishonesty at a board that I frequent. I will get into that tomorrow. I need to wait until my head clears to even post a rant about why people feel the need to lie about their personal lives online. It really makes no sense whatsoever!
I also managed to get my blog set up over at MyBlogLog. It truly is a place where you can network, make friends, and boost your blog’s visibility all rolled into one. It isn’t some cheesy site, either! I have found some great interests at this site, many of the blogs I have already been reading for months. Pretty neat if you are in the market to boost the visibility of your blog!

Since using this in just one day, I have found some people already at least glancing at my blog. Makes me wonder exactly how many people have “passed by” before. I have two new comments on my blog already from people never heard from before. It is pretty cool, and quite amazing to see that people are interested enough by simply passing by my profile on MyBlogLog!

So, I was passing through different things on the Internet tonight, and my whim for another image was a school house. I then started looking for one that would fit this odd whim and came across this print. I have seen it elsewhere before, but cannot exactly remember. However, it kind of reminds me of I had used to dream of as a teacher. I’d have these weird daydreams, and sometimes dreams in slumber, where I’d teach in such a school house with all the little country children. Yeah, I don’t think I will find that anywhere in the United States anytime soon! Image credit: CriminalBrief.com
It leads me into publicly admitting that I pretty much procrastinated on what needed to be done. I surely did not want to hit the lines at Wal-Mart for groceries. Looking at my Spanish book was such a turn off I had immediately ran from it when I attempted to go near it. And picking up my British literature passages for Monday night’s class just seem to lull me into my nap before I could even pop open the cover!
So, while I have been killing time of Michael falling asleep at this moment, I have been cruising the gallery for Windows Vista sidebar gadgets. I am hooked and finding these weird things to entertain me! I haven’t found anything else more decent that what I already have downloaded, but it never hurts to poke around. I never know if I will find anything to my liking without fending by word of mouth. I don’t have very many friends on Vista yet, so I am left to look on my own mostly.

I have come to the conclusion that while people are interested in who I am and what I am all about, I am sure they’d like to see some substance to my blog. Sure, we all know I am a mom, college student, and substitute teacher. Those roles truly define who I am. What many do not know about me are the smaller things like that I am a writer, both for small news articles and creatively. Photography is a big influence in my life, whether if I am behind the camera or scoping out different images online. I need to start embracing me as I had intended to like a month ago on here. I see that poor lonely blog category sit alone with one post in it. I believe it is the one where I had played along with Holly to list 30 things about me! Time to do more of just “let’s report my life today.” Image credit: PSD Blog

Whomever happens to be the person who captured this particular view, THANK YOU! This scene is so beautiful! This is the sort of view I plan to start capturing the day after retirement starts! I want to travel to different lands and places to snag those views that many only wish to have visited!
On that note of beauty [I can hear the waterfalls in the background!], I am going to go crawl into bed for the night. Scott has just come off the main computer and has ordered me to bed. TTYL and have a great night! ![]()
