Organization :: Paper vs. Digital, or opt for both?

I know there are plenty of organized freaks out there who are just like me: You need order in your life, therefore you keep a planner!
But there are some hardcore organized people out there, more than me. My husband laughs at me when I say this because he thinks I am very anal about my planner, despite my being a procrastinator at times.
For me, personally, I use both the paper system and a form of digital.
I am curious to know what others use!
Do you use a planner that utilizes a paper system? Do you have some kind of system in your home or office that you feel you could never function without? Do you use some kind of digital gadget to keep things in check for you? Do you use Google Calendar to meet your demands on a tight wallet?
What could you bring to the table that people could use?
I will admit that I use Google Calendar. I have the Samsung Blackjack phone. I know you can sync it up with MS Outlook. However, that takes up memory from my phone. Also, I do not use MS Outlook anymore because using the calendar took up memory from my hard drive and space on the hard drive.
I use Mozilla Thunderbird as my email client, and it has a plug-in to the Lightning calendar client. The Lightning calendar client syncs up to my Google Calendar. So, while I can bring it up on my email client, it is feeding remotely from Google’s site, not taking up much of cache and temporary files! And, all of this looks more like the new MS Outlook theme, only not as bold.
So, between my trusty planner and my Google Calendar, I feel safe knowing that my appointments and tasks are in order.
Did I mention that you can also access Google Calendar mobile from your cellphone? If you can access the Internet or WAP sites from your phone, you just go to www.google.com/m/products and it will pull up all the Google tools that can be accessed through the mobile site. You can set up your Google Calendar to also text message you, and you can text message your calendar. It is pretty multi-functional for this day and age!
So, please share with me what you do to keep yourself on track and organized!
