One dragging Mommy here…

I am home today with Michael, and I have already canceled out my job for tomorrow because Michael is still not feeling well. I was again woken up by Scott at 430am.
Michael had green snot coming out the nose, green crusty eyelids crusted shut, and a low grade fever. Michael had woke up crying, probably because he couldn’t open his eyes. However, Scott was getting ready for work so I had to pick up the job after he picked Michael to soothe him.
In the past three days, I have had probably about ten hours of sleep. I do not count naps into sleep hours because I only get may be 20-30 minutes in, if even that.
So, I got up and started tending to business. We grabbed the nose sucker, a washcloth to load up with warm water, and the medicine. Michael was so out of it. I gave him his Tylenol to get in his system, then starting sucking out the nose. I have never seen so much snot come out of his nose! Then the eyelids, HOLY! The kid did not like someone so close to his eyeballs. I literally had to crack them open and work from the lid out to get it all out! It was a terribly hard chore to get through all of it. By the time it was time for the cough medicine, I had to once again bribe him with the Nintendo DS to get him to take his medicine.
I think I fell back to sleep around 6-630am. I ended up sleeping through my alarm (7am), rushing Leilani to get out the door, then Michael wants to fight with me to get his socks and shoes on when I was already out of the door carrying him barefoot, and by the time I get home from the ten minute drive to drop Leilani off, I am freaking exhausted!
Now, I have been attempting to catch up on blog and site traffic stuff. I am nodding off as I write, so I know it is time to get off here in a few minutes. I need to get in a nap so I can make it to Leilani’s school to read to her class today. Which reminds me, I need to find a book.
Too bad I don’t have a wand I can wave to make everything grand and perfect for a couple of days!
