It is finally here!

We have officially begun our two week break a few hours ago.  Nonetheless, it is awesome to have finally get to this point where I can rest for two glorious weeks.

I have so many things I want to do.  I have to go to the library and drop books off, and pick up a couple of holds.  I have a LOT of grading to do that I did not want to have sitting on my desk.  I want to go out and do things with the kids, like Christmas shopping and take them out for some photography.  I want to do some writing, other than my blog.

Speaking of my blog, I really want to work on that the next couple of weeks.  I really want to build the traffic back up to it.  Once upon a time, I had a decent rank with Google and RealRank.  But since I have been working hard on my homework for my night classes, I haven’t had time to do much with my blog.

As for my desk at work, it is finally cleared off to the bare minimums.  I have my cup of pens and pencils, my little desk organizer of passes and carbon copy items I use throughout the quarter, and my staplers and hole puncher.  On my computer desk, I now have it organized with all my files up in the file organizer, the printer’s print pile is no more, and all that remains are personal effects (my own box of tissues, pictures of the kids and Scott, my other flower pot of pens, and a few books students have given me so far this year).  It felt great to walk away from my desk and seeing it clean!

As for the rest of my vacation, part of it will be spent in Tucson, Arizona, and the rest here at home.  I really struggled with the decision of visiting Scott’s family.  I really just wanted to stay home for two weeks.  But then I thought that it would not be fair to Leilani and Michael since they look forward to seeing their cousins.

Well, I need to go make a quick dinner.  I will be back on later!
